Welcome to SaferAlternative.org
We believe that it is every individual’s responsibility to look after their own health and not to abdicate this task, leaving it up to other so-called experts, and then blame ‘the system’ when things go wrong.
We are living in strange times, a period when we have seen what are supposedly amazing scientific advances in medicine that should have made us more able to look after our health than ever before in the history of Mankind. Yet in many respects the reverse is occurring. How often have we heard scientist and doctors tell us, when asked about what causes one or other common disease today, that they ‘really don’t fully understand’ what the causes are? If science has taught us anything it is that the old saying that ‘the more you know the less you understand’ is more true than ever!
Even a cursory examination of the situation leads us to conclude that it doesn’t take any degree of genius to work out why:
- In a nutshell… How could any species evolve on a planet such as ours, for half-a-million years or more, only to come to a point where its ‘members’ believe that any further development and survival depends on the use of non-natural, man-made, oft-times questionable and inadequately researched, medicinal or pharmacological interventions?
This is surely: Plainly and simply – ridiculous and illogical.
- On top of this… How can a species, no matter how intellectually advanced (beyond any other that shares the same Earth, at least in its own estimation!) have come to a point where it thinks it can perpetually, continuously, day-in-day-out assault its own biological system, and indeed the planet’s whole natural system, with an increasing arrray of synthetic chemical concoctions and not end up paying a price for such ‘unnatural’ behaviour?
Well – we ARE paying the price… of course…
- In terms of our decaying and deteriorating health
- In terms of increasing ecological damage and impending environmental disaster
So – surely the only thing that we can do now is to take a step back, and choose to take a less toxic route.
We need actively to choose to live less-toxic, healthier lifestyles and choose to replace our vast array of chemically dubious daily-use products with safer aternative products!
Here, on this website, we can only do our own small part to provid access to what we consider to be some of the best of these safer alternative products, such as certified organic skincare and all natural cosmetics, household and health support products, that are currently starting to be made available by ethically inspired enterprises around the world.
We can only exhort you to choose a healthier lifestyle, adopt healthier habits and use safer products for yourself and those you care about.
Buy safer alternative products and start to make a contribution, no matter how small, to de-toxing both yourself and the planet! Helping you do this is the simple (but we believe critically important) mission of www.saferalternative.org.
We will also be using our blog and Health News pages to include articles about health and wellness that highlight some of the crucial issues that we believe are all contributing to the toxic burden that we suggest are a possible root cause of the burgeoning rates of modern-day health problems: diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and emotional and stress-related disorders.
We are not doctors and our own knowledge comes from personal experience, public education and additional years of self-directed-study. We are not proposing to suggest anything that might be construed as diagnostic advice on this website, but we simply wish to share information that we feel derives from relaible sources that should be accessed by a wider public for consideration and objective assessment.
If you are currently suffering a health issue you should naturally take responsibility for your own health, which means that you should do your own research (and due diligence) on any material you find, particularly on the Internet. But we would not in any way discourage you from discussing everything related to your health, and particularly regarding any proposed changes in your lifestyle and habits, with your formal, qualified health adviser.
(Although we would make the observation that all medical practitioners are simply other human beings who have also simply ‘studied’ certain topics, and although they may ahve done so in depth, their studies will usually have been within the confined realms of ‘accepted science’ and the formal educative process. Whilst this might mean that they have some ‘expertise’ it does not always make them the sole source of relevant and appropriate information about what may be affecting your health.)
